One thing we love at Dinkum Systems is getting great reviews from people using our gear in the field. While we know our camera mounts and lens shades are some of the best in the business, it takes time for a small company like ours to build momentum and spread the word about our line. We get a huge kick out of seeing positive comments like these on our retailers sites (please note, none of these comments are written by us, for us or by our mums!):
- This is so cool! I use it to mount additional lighting for video projects. It's strong enough to hold my 2 lb light, and then some. I didn't realize when I bought it, but the clip is also shaped perfectly to grip to a tripod stand, so I could clip my light on right under my camera, or on another light stand to fill light from a different angle. I love this thing! Kimba the Brave (Boston, MA)
- Pretty impressive and strong. I plan on using it for flash mounting. Brian Joseph Photography (New York, NY)
- I use it to mount my GoPro anywhere. I use it to mount my zoom H1 or H4 in the perfect spot. videodoug (SLC, UT)
- I got this gizmo so that I could attach my camera to my windsurfing boom, and also to attach to a long pole for snowboarding footage. I was concerned about the grip power of the clamp - no worries there! It has an extremely strong, stiff steel spring inside, and the clamp is actually hard to squeeze open. So it should never ever come off your platform. The neck is fairly stiff too, kinda hard to adjust. But this is all good; ya don't want it flopping around. I'm excited to discover this product and look forward to some cool footage on the water and snow. And time lapse on my bike too! K-M-E Graphics & Music (Portland area, OR)
Sometimes getting feedback - even positive - highlights the challenges we have educating our customers on how to make the most out of their gear, operating with a staff of two and limited advertising budgets.
- Does what it should. Wish it was longer! Overall very good. freddo (PA)
- Love it! We bought the manfrotto look alikes (w/out the clamp) it was awful, couldn't support any weight whatsoever. This is super strong, clamp so far doesn't seem destructive, if only it had an extension option! Miranda Rights (NYC)
It would have been brilliant to let Freddo and Miranda Rights know that our whole line is length adjustable, and that they could buy additional segments for their mounts for the bargain price of $9.95. Hearing from our customers like this (even indirectly) inspires us to keep making cool videos showing how our line works and working with our on-sellers to make sure the features and benefits of our product line are clear to a buyer. Our new mission is to make sure every stills photographer, camera operator, videographer and AC who buy our camera accessories come to know the sound of our products arm pop-pop-popping apart and back together as well as we do!
